2015-16 Panini Complete First Look
Old school and new collectors will be able to get back to basics with the release of 2015-16 Complete ,
which will offer a very affordable per-pack price point of just $1 – a rarity in today’s hobby.
Panini America is digging deep with this release as 2015-16 Complete seeks to live up to its name
with the largest base set that NBA fans have seen for years. Not content to offer a bare-bones collection,
there is also a compelling roster of traditional insert and parallel cards plus a chase element featuring ink from some big names.
Releasing in November, it arrives just as the season is starting to get into full swing and may draw
in hobbyists that have been considering collecting cards of the NBA’s best.

Base Set :
As mentioned above, the 2015-16 Panini Complete Basketball base set offers up the most comprehensive look at the NBA this season
and weighing in at 330 cards, it will live up to that promise.
While a handful of players may get missed, the depth of this set is likely not going to be matched this season.
Each pack will contain a silver parallel, but there will be a tougher chase element
with the gold parallels that are seeded once per box.
Inserts :
2015-16 Complete is loaded up with six different non-memorabilia insert sets, but only four of them were mentioned
in the initial product announcement. Home/Away cards are seeded once per box
with a celebrated player pictured in front of their home court or road jerseys.
Court Vision is a horizontal collection showing great action shots while Craftsmen is all about the players with the best skills.
NBA Cares cards are a unique component to the insert program as it takes
a look at players that are known for giving back to their community.
Autographs :
As befitting an entry-level product with a low price points, the more desirable hits are inserted at longer odds
and the Autographs in 2015-16 Panini Complete Basketball appear once per case.
The lineup of players draws from both veteran and rookie talents and prominent names such as Kobe Bryant,
Anthony Davis, and Karl-Anthony Towns are potential pulls.
2015-16 Complete at a glance :

Set size : 330 cards
What to expect in a hobby box :
Gold Parallels – 1
Silver Parallels – 36
Getting back to the basics of collecting, 2015-16 Complete is a simple release with a large base set.
Boxes average one parallel per pack and one insert per box.
While Hoops has assumed the role of the main low-end option for NBA collectors and Donruss is another option,
Panini Complete takes that to another level with a format almost entirely based around base, parallels and basic inserts.
The 330-card base set takes a detailed look at the league, including top veterans and the biggest rookie names.
Silver (one per pack) and Gold parallels (1:36 packs) add a splash of color to the borders.
A total of six insert sets offer set collectors a decent challenge. Among these,
Home and Away inserts feature top players in their two main uniform options. Court Vision includes
a larger action image while Craftsmen highlights the specialty for each player.
There is also a special insert that features top players and personalities giving back as part of the NBA Cares Program.
Given the low-end focus, Autographs are not a major component but are still available in limited fashion.
Dropping one per case, collectors can find sticker autographs for top stars like Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant
and Anthony Davis along with key 2015-16 rookies like Karl-Anthony Towns and Jahlil Okafor.
