Today, we’re sharing that same information
with you here on The Knight’s Lance, this time
featuring the quite-regal 2020-21 Crown Royale.
In the extended product preview below, we’ll showcase
a bevy of preliminary images from the upcoming
2020-21 Crown Royale as well as the product’s
Hobby and 1st Off The Line PIS documents.

2020-21 Crown Royale Base / Inserts
Keeping to tradition, 2020-21 Crown Royale
features a die-cut base design
in the shape of a crown.
Half of the eight-card box should
come from this main set.
Boxes of Crown Royale will have
just one pack of eight cards.
This isn’t a product built around autographs,
but each box will have one, along
with one memorabilia card, two inserts or parallels
and four base cards, the latter done in a die-cut format.
There are no details on the base set as of yet.

will be featured.

With an emphasis on die-cuts on several
parts of the checklist, it’s a release
with standout designs on every corner of its checklist.
Hits fall two per eight-card hobby box
one autograph and one memorabilia card.
There’s also a pair of inserts or parallels.
2020-21 Crown Royale Checklist Overview
The crown is back in town for the base set.
It’s a cornerstone that’s not traditional in a sports card
sense, yet there’s a decades-long history dating back
to the brand’s beginnings with Pacific Trading Cards.
As far as autographs go, Silhouettes
are likely to garner the most attention.
Another Crown Royale trademark, these use
a die-cut window to showcase an oversized swatch
and pair it with a signature.
Prime and Super Prime parallels
deliver premium pieces of gear.
Regal Achievements Signatures and Royal
Signatures highlight more autographs.
Both of these incorporate intricate
die-cuts into their design.
According to Panini, Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis
and Trae Young are among the non-rookies
to have autographs in the product.
2020-21 Crown Royale is where
collectors will find a new crop of inserts
from the popular Kaboom! line.
Twenty-five players appear this year
including rookies, superstars
and retired greats.
As with past years, these are
among the toughest cards to find
in the entire release.
Die-cut Test of Time
and Sno Globe also appear.
Both of these inserts
are new for 2020-21.
In addition, parallels and inserts
combine to fall two per box.
Collectors can track down 25 super
short print (SSP) stars in Kaboom!
According to Panini, Crown Royale is the only
place to find the popular NBA insert this year.
New inserts include Sno Globe
and Test of Time,
with both being die-cut sets.
Look for two new insert sets
this year in Crown Royale
Test of Time with its clock-like design
and Sno Globe, another roundish
creation that would seem
to be more at home during
a December release.
However, Kaboom! is the insert that
everyone looks to land in Crown Royale.
Back for another year, the popular super short-printed
insert will have a 25-player checklist of rookies
veterans and former greats on
an artsy design as per usual.

Chase the limited Prime
and Super Prime editions.

Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, Trae Young, Allen Iverson
and Dirk Nowitzki are some of the current
and retired players who will join 2020-21 rookies
with autographed cards in the set.
The Silhouette patch autographs
will lead off the autograph checklist
with a piece of memorabilia placed
underneath a die-cut window
and paired with an autograph.
The Super Prime version offers
a more impressive piece of memorabilia.
Rookie and veteran versions
will be part of the checklist.
Regal Achievement and Royal Signatures
put autographs on die-cut cards, again
with a mix of current and former players.

Crown Royale hits the hardwood once again
with the same format as previous years but some
new looks and, of course, plenty of rookies
and royalty from the past and present.
The Basics :
Boxes will include four base cards,
two inserts or parallels and the hits.
As you might expect, Silhouettes cards
once again will be found
with on-card autographs for veterans
and rookies with prime swatches
and super prime swatches.
(Parallels were not detailed in advance this time.)
Joining them hits-wise will be Regal Achievement
and Royal autographss for starters.
Among the inserts will be Kaboom! cards
for 25 players and new Test of Time
and Sno Globe die-cuts.
Boxes carry an increased suggested retail price of $150.
