Arriving more than nine months after the Hobby release,
the 2020-21 Panini Obsidian White Pulsar packs
feature exclusive base parallels. Issued through
Panini Rewards, the four-card packs sell for 3,500 points.
Packs go on sale at 11 AM (Eastern) on June 16.

2020-21 Panini Obsidian Keeps It Electric :

familiar dark take on opti-chrome.
With just one pack and seven cards per box,
it’s a faster break than Prizm and Donruss Optic.
It also has a higher concentration of autographs
with a pair of signatures in each hobby box.
The base set uses chrome stock.
But instead of the silver backdrop found
in other brands, it’s dark.
This comes into play with the parallels as well.
Electric Etch cards use outlines
to showcase contrasting rainbows.
Instead of thick borders and solid backgrounds,
it makes for a different kind of pop.
Headlining the hits are a pair of autographed
memorabilia sets involving first-year players,
Rookie Jersey Autographs
and dual-swatch Rookie Jersey Ink.
Electric Etch parallels for these include Purple,
Orange, Green, Yellow, Red, and one-of-one White Mojo.
Matrix Material Autographs
feature veteran talent.
Other autograph themes on the
2020-21 Obsidian checklist include :

distinct Obsidian feature.

2020-21 Panini Obsidian release certainly delivers.
A faster break than the Prizm and Donruss Optic series,
Panini Obsidian is just one pack and seven cards per box,
but with a higher assemblage of autographs
a pair of signatures in each hobby box.
Top NBA rookies are again the feature of this release,
but there’s more in store than just first-year talent.
The base set, while utilising chrome stock, does so
with a rather dark backdrop differentiating the cards
from other brands that instead opt to use silver.
The base cards as well as the parallels
and inserts are really eye-catching.
Take the Electric Etch, with
cards that design with outlines
and contrasting rainbows of color versus the standard
solid backgrounds and thick borders.

The hits to chase are a pair of autographed

to keep an eye out on pre-sales

non-hit cards per 2020-21 Panini Obsidian box.
The remaining cards come
as Electric Etch parallels and/or inserts.
As for the inserts, collectors will likely recognize
the die-cut Pitch Black and Vitreous cards.

2020-21 Panini Obsidian Autographs
As usual, the first-year talent is a featured element
in the 2020-21 Panini Obsidian checklist.
This includes the Rookie Jersey Autographs
and Rookie Ink sets that feature
multiple Electric Etch editions.

to them, 2020-21 Panini Obsidian might be on your radar.
Currently set for a September 10 release date, Obsidian
is a mid-range product that always provides
a darker colored contrast to brands like Prizm and Optic.
The one-pack boxes will carry seven cards including
two autographs and two inserts and/or parallels.
Each box will have 12 cases.
Obsidian Rookie Jersey Autographs and Rookie Ink
are where you’ll find autographs
from the recently concluded season’s first year talent
like LaMelo Ball and Anthony Edwards.
Electric Etch parallels will be prominent with Purple, Orange,
Green, Yellow, Red, and the 1/1 White Mojo versions.
New autograph subsets for current stars and retired greats
will come in the form of Aurora Autographs
