Panini America Delivers a Detailed First Look at the Upcoming 2021-22 Hoops :
2021-22 Hoops offers the earliest rookie cards
featuring the first-year players in their pro uniforms.
One big change from previous years is the tweaked
Hobby format with one autograph instead of two.

is still set to get the new basketball card season going.
This is where collectors will find the first pack-inserted
cards of the season’s rookie class in their NBA uniforms.
As usual for Hoops, it’s a flagship-style release
with a comprehensive base set and lots of inserts.
Hobby boxes come with one autograph as well
as 24 total inserts and parallels
an average of one per pack.

with lots of action shots.
Rookies are also present, making their debuts
on traditional NBA Rookie Cards.
For most, they’ve appeared in Panini’s college
products already as well as some online-exclusives.
However, Hoops is the first time you can go to the store,
grab a pack and find them in their pro threads.
Parallels come in several levels.
Those available in hobby packs include Silver (/199), Green (/99),
Artist Proof (/25), Artist Proof Gold (/10), and Artist Proof Black (1/1).
There’s also NBA 75th Anniversary,
which coincides with the league’s season-long festivities.
Big colors and bold designs are a running theme
in many of the inserts in 2021-22 Hoops.
High Voltage, Highlights, HIPnotized,Legends of the Ball
and Prime Twine all return and are only available in hobby packs.
Another insert set that can’t be found
in retail is the debuting Jam-Tastic.
Hot Signatures, Hot Signatures Rookies, Hoops Ink
and Rookie Ink are among the product’s autograph possibilities.
Each set has additional Red parallels that
are numbered to 25 and only in hobby packs.

Pictured in their NBA uniforms, this season’s rookie class
debuts in the first-up early-season sneak peek of the league
with the 2021-22 Hoops from Panini.
A thorough base set and heavy on the inserts,
this flagship-esque release
will please NBA fans ready for the upcoming season.
Find one autograph and a whopping twenty-four inserts
and parallels in each Hobby box, slightly differing
from last year’s release which offered two autos.
The arrival will be a little later than usual in an unusual
time for product releases, but 2021-22 Hoops
now has a spot on the upcoming calendar.
The long-running brand will offer the first cards
of rookies in their NBA uniforms.
Hoops is scheduled to arrive on New Year’s Eve.
Hoops Hobby boxes carry randomly inserted autograph
cards but it’s really more of a base card/parallel/insert product.
Each box will carry 24 packs with eight cards per pack.
Cases will hold 20 boxes.
Panini has cut the number of autographs
guaranteed per box from two down to one.
Rookies, veterans and retired players are all possible
via Hot Signatures, Hot Signatures Rookies, Hoops Ink or Rookie Ink.
There will be Hobby-exclusive Red parallels
of those, numbered to 25.
There’s no word yet on the size of the base set,
but we do know there will be parallels including :
Hobby exclusive Silver (#/199), Green (#/99), Artist Proof (#/25),
Artist Proof Gold (#/10), Artist Proof Black (#/1)
and NBA 75th anniversary.
There will be an average of
one parallel or insert per pack.
As for inserts, there will be plenty of color if the preliminary
information from Panini is any indication.
Some inserts will be found only in Hobby boxes including :
JAM-tastic, Legends of the Ball, High Voltage,
HIPnotized, and Highlights.
2021-22 Hoops Base / Inserts
The set size is still TBA but we know that
the main cards will showcase veterans in action
and of course debut the newcomers on traditional
NBA rookie cards but featured
for the first time in store and with their professional uniforms.
Averaging one insert or parallel per pack, fans should look out
for the newest parallel addition in the NBA 75th Anniversary.
Also on tap are several levels of parallels including Silver (/199),
Green (/99), Artist Proof (/25), Artist Proof Gold (/10)
and Artist Proof Black (1/1).
Inserts are designed to stand out with vivid colors
and designs for 2021-22 Hoops.
Look for Hobby-only inserts such as High Voltage,
Highlights, HIPnotized, Legends of the Ball
and Prime Twine as well as Jam-Tastic
which can’t be found in standard retail.
Led by the incoming rookie class, the 2021-22 Hoops
checklist provides a popular, early-season look at the league.
This includes the first pack-issued rookie cards
showcasing the 2021 draftees in their NBA jerseys.
Inserts and parallels combine to average one per pack.
New parallel choices include NBA 75th, which pays tribute
to the league's anniversary season.

There will be 24 insert cards per box in this one, which
is the same as last year while the auto volume was halved.
The hits here will include Hot Signatures,
