line that hits a lot of levels literally.
Like most every chrome set, there are
parallels galore, bright inserts
and a smattering of autographs
and memorabilia cards.
But this is Select so that means a multi-tiered
base set to bring it all together.
Hobby boxes have three traditional hits
and an average of one parallel per pack.
Smaller H2 boxes are also available.
These don’t stress autographs as a guarantee
but the average of a Prizms parallel per pack remains.
Select also returns to retail with multiple configurations.
All told, there’s a lot going on.
2023-24 Select Checklist Overview
The base set is split different sections,
each with their own design and rarity :
Concourse, Premier Level and Courtside.
Retail packs also have Mezzanine cards,
bringing a fourth level to chase.
Hobby-only Prizms parallels include :
Bronze Checker, Gold Glitter, Zebra,
Tie-Dye (/25), Gold (/10), Green (/5),
and Black Finite (1/1).
Some also add die-cuts to go
with the various colors and patterns.
H2 boxes are where you’ll find a mix of Disco parallels
that have circles running through the background.
Light Blue Disco (/99), White Disco (/75), Red Disco (/49),
Blue Disco (/25), Gold Disco (/10), Green Disco (/5)
and Black Disco (1/1) are among the versions.
On the retail side :
Orange Flash, Purple Flash (/175),
Blue Flash (/99)
and Gold Flash (/10) are only in blasters.
Mega box exclusives include :
Blue Cracked Ice, Pink Cracked Ice (/99),
White Cracked Ice (/49)
and Gold Cracked Ice (/10)
Also distinct to retail are standard Blue cards.
These replace base cards found in hobby packs.
Select was a hobby-exclusive product for a lot of years.
The intention here is to keep print runs of standard cards
in line with the past while expanding the product’s overall reach.

when 2023-24 Select makes its annual return to the market.
The colorful chromium product packs more of the same this season.
Select Hobby boxes will have 12 packs, with five cards per pack.
Cases will hold 12 boxes.
A typical box will have three autographs and/or memorabilia cards
and you can also figure on 12 Prizm parallels.
There will be H2 boxes with no autographs
guaranteed as well as Mega Boxes
and Blasters, each with their own exclusive parallels.
Once again, Hobby boxes will have three tiers of base cards :
Concourse, Premier Level and Courtside.
Parallels will be in abundance, highlighted by the sport-printed Zebra
and Gold Glitter versions, Tie-Dye (#/25), Gold (#/10), Green (#/5)
and 1/1 Black Finite.
New autograph sets this year include Select Few Signatures
and Hall Selections Signatures, with multiple
parallel versions along for the ride.
Autographed rookie cards will be found
in Rookie Signatures with Rookie Jersey Autographs
and Jumbo Signature Rookie Swatches
carrying a piece of memorabilia as well.
Other autograph sets include :
In-Flight Signatures, Prime Selections Signatures
and Select Pairings Signatures.
Patch autographs can be found
in X-Fractor Memorabilia Signatures
and Autographed Memorabilia.
Hobby-exclusive parallels include the 1/1 Black Finite.
Hobby-Exclusive inserts such as :
Unstoppable, Select Future, Sensations, Snapshots,
and En Fuego will have several parallel possibilities including :
Silver Prizm, Tie-Dye Prizms (#/25),
Gold Prizm (#/10), Green Prizms (#/5)
and 1/1 Black Finite.
Collectors can also find short-printed inserts
in the returning Color Wheel and the new Starcade.
Release date for 2023-24 Select is May 10.

Select Autographs
The 2023-24 Select checklist has
several places to find autographs.
Autographed Memorabilia, Rookie Jersey
Autographs, X-Factor Memorabilia Signatures
and Jumbo Rookie Signature Swatches
bring an added element of swatches.
Rookie Signatures is another spot for first-year players.
In Flight Signatures return with a list of past and present stars.
According to Panini, Select Few Signatures ranks
as one of the tougher autograph inserts in the product.
Multi-autograph themes include Select Pairings Signatures
and triple-signed Hall Selections Signatures.
Selection Committee Signatures, Youth Explosion Signatures
and Signature Selections are among
the autographs available in retail packs.

The checklist has several inserts that include bold designs.
Starcade is a new addition to the brand.
These use classic arcade video games as inspiration.
They also happen to be one of Select’s tough hobby-exclusive inserts.
It’s the same with another installment of Color Wheel.

En Fuego, Select Future, Sensations,
Snapshots and Unstoppable.
These have Silver, Tie-Dye (/25),
Gold (/10), Green (/5)

Artistic Selections is exclusive to H2 boxes while Rookie
