Happy New Year! OK, now that we’ve got that out of the way,
let’s get down to the business of providing
your detailed first look at Panini America’s
2018-19 Panini Cornerstones .
Quite swiftly, a product that began as an extension
of one of the more popular inserts in recent memory
(the namesake four-cornered autograph memorabilia cards)
has blossomed into a bona fide standalone success story.
That trend most certainly will continue
in late March.
On average, each hobby box of 2018-19 Panini Cornerstones
(six cards per box, 12 boxes per case) will deliver
two base or parallel cards, one PVC insert,
two autographs and one memorabilia card.
The product’s foundation Rookie Cornerstones
return to honor the standout 2018 NBA Draft class
with base versions
numbered to 199 as well as Crystal (numbered to 75),
Quartz (numbered to 49), Marble (numbered to 10)
and Onyx 1/1 parallels.

When the NBA regular season will be heading into
its final weeks, 2018-19 Panini Cornerstones
will return for a second straight season.
The sophomore NBA card effort is mainly
about the hard-signed quad relic autograph line,
but 2018-19 Panini Cornerstones
still sprinkles in a few other elements.
Just like the 2017-18 debut, each six-card box should
deliver two autographs, one relic, two base cards
or parallels, and one insert.
2018-19 Panini Cornerstones Base / Inserts
Up first, 2018-19 Panini Cornerstones contains
a pair of base cards in each box.
A small parallel assortment adds some extra rarity.
In addition, every box includes one unique insert
that features holographic foilboard
on the front and a plastic back.
Options include the artistic Downtown,
with a look at the major landmarks of various
NBA cities, plus Startups and Unbreakables.
2018-19 Panini Cornerstones Autographs / Relics
However, if you are diving into Panini Cornerstones,
the chances are good that you are looking
for the popular on-card Cornerstones cards.
The 2018-19 Panini Cornerstones checklist offers
Rookie Cornerstones autograph quad relics
with a print run of 199 copies.
These also have Crystal (#/75), Quartz (#/49),
Marble (#/10) and Onyx (1/1) parallels.
2018-19 Panini Cornerstones Remains Rock Steady :
https://www.beckett.com/news/2018-19-pa ... all-cards/
Like a rock, 2018-19 Panini Cornerstones
brings back its trademark quad memorabilia autograph
cards (and more).
Although hits-focused, with three of every
six cards in a box being of the autograph
or memorabilia variety, there is more
to the product.
2018-19 Panini Cornerstones hobby boxes break down
to include a pair of autographs, one memorabilia card
and one insert made with plastic PVC stock.
The remaining two cards are base or parallels.
2018-19 Panini Cornerstones Overview
Cornerstones cards return in a few forms.
Whether it’s rookies, veterans or legends,
these are highlighted by an on-card signature
and four swatches of memorabilia
that take a four-corners approach.
Base versions for rookies have 199 copies each.
Once again, parallels look to minerals for
inspiration rather than just colors.
Legendary Cornerstones take a similar look
and feel, only with retired players.
Print runs for the base versions max out at 129 copies.
Some are less. Parallel levels for these
are Crystal (/49 and under), Quartz (/25 and under),
Marble (/10 and under), and Onyx (1/1).
More signatures can be found in 2018-19 Panini Cornerstones
in Elemental Signatures and Franchise Pillars.
All cards in both of these have no more
than 129 copies.
Parallels include Crystal (/49 or less), Quartz (/25 or less),
Marble (/10 or less) and one-of-one Onyx.
No matter the type, tougher Quartz, Marble
and Onyx Cornerstones parallels
include premium swatches
These include Crystal (/75), Quartz (/49),
Marble (/10) and Onyx (1/1).
Among the strictly memorabilia cards on the
checklist are scarce Memorabilia Super Prime cards.
These are one-of-ones and come with tags
taken from game-work jerseys.
The regular inserts in 2018-19 Panini Cornerstones
stand out right away based on how they’re constructed.
They’re not traditional card stock or
even the more modern thick and glossy.
Rather, they use a combination of holographic foil
on the front and vinyl PVC on the back.
Combining to land one per box, themes
include Unbreakables, Startups
and the return of the popular
Downtown, which cast star players against
an illustrated backdrop of the city they play in.
All-time greats are covered in Legendary
Cornerstones (#/129 or less), with Crystal (#/49 or less)
Quartz (#/25 or less), Marble (#/10 or less)
and Onyx (1/1) parallels.
The Quartz, Marble and Onyx versions also
include prime swatches.
Other signed cards come in Elemental
Signatures and Franchise Pillars.
Both are capped at 129 copies (or less)
and feature the same parallels noted
for the Legendary Cornerstones cards.
Joining the two expected autographs per Hobby box,
2018-19 Panini Cornerstones contains one relic.
The selection includes one-of-one Memorabilia
Super Prime cards with game-worn jersey tags.
Born out of an insert, Panini Cornerstones
is now a standalone product offering
a mix of content at a mid-range price point.
Panini Cornerstones will offer six cards per box
with the typical configuration of two base
or base parallel cards, two autographs,
one memorabilia card, and one PVC insert.
There are no specifics on pricing yet on pricing
but last season’s boxes are available online
for a little under $100.
