Panini America Delivers a Detailed Sneak Peek at 2023-24 Donruss Elite :
2023-24 Donruss Elite offers another batch
of Pen Pals and Passing the Torch Signatures.
While the product still features two autographs
per Hobby box, the overall output sees a big change.
Every 2022-23 box has 20 packs of eight cards,
but the 2023-24 edition decreases
to six packs of eight cards.

with the brand’s tradition of variety.
It might not be the super-premium line that it was when it debuted
in the 1990s, but there are still plenty of premium elements
on the checklist including low-numbered autographs, parallels
and tough inserts.
Hobby boxes have a pair of signed cards.
Collectors can also expect multiple inserts
and parallels in every pack.
2023-24 Donruss Elite Checklist Overview
The base set continues with a somewhat
minimalist design, particularly in the backgrounds.
This opens things up for the color-based parallels to give plenty of pop.
In addition to the traditional Status
and Aspirations versions that come die-cut, others
include short-printed :
Mixorama, Neon Green (/75) and Black (/25).
As far as autographs go, Pen Pals return highlighting rookies.
Also back is Passing the Torch Signatures.
These have a pair of signatures,
connecting multiple generations of stars.
Other inked themes on the checklist include :
Elite Signatures, GenreGraphs, New Breed Autographs
and Rookie Yearbook Signatures.
2023-24 Donruss Elite has a handful of tough
standard inserts including Craftsmen and Elite Series.
Titlists, Next Up and Dimensions,
also SPs, all use lenticular technology.
This gives cards a 3-D look.

with 2023-24 Donruss Elite, set to arrive March 13.
Elite Hobby boxes carry six packs, with eight cards per pack.
Luka Dončić is on the front.
A typical box will have two autographs,
ten inserts or parallels
and a group of base or base parallels featuring veterans and rookies.
The base set will hold 250 veterans
and former stars (#1-200) and 50 rookies (#201-250).
There are some new Hobby-exclusive base parallels including :
Neon Green (#/75), Black (#/25)
and the short-printed Mixorama.
While Victor Wembanyama exclusive autograph deal
with Fanatics/Topps means he won’t have any signed rookie cards
in Donruss Elite, he does have three different cards on the checklist.
Other rookies who do have Panini deals can be found
in the familiar Pen Pals, New Breed, Impact Impressions
and Rookie Yearbook subsets.
Passing the Torch Signatures
feature two players one a current star
and the other an all-time great– in a variety of combinations.
For example, you’ll see Denver star Nikola Jokić
and former Nugget Carmelo Anthony on one of them.
Elite Signatures, New Breed Autographs
and GenreGraphs are among the other autograph subsets.
Other highlights :
Status and Aspirations Die-Cut parallels
and super-short printed cards printed on lenticular
stock that will be found in Dimensions, Next Up and Titlists.

2023-24 Donruss Elite Base / Parallels
Otherwise, 2023-24 Donruss Elite largely keeps
to tradition for the Panini NBA release.
This includes a base highlighting veteran stars
and rookies along
with Status and Aspirations die-cut parallels.
New Hobby-only parallels arrive
via the Neon Green (#/75) and Black (#/25) versions.
Also exclusive to Hobby, Mixorama
is a new short-printed parallel.

averages 10 cards per box that can be standard inserts or parallels.

is saved for autographs, with some being on-card.
Covering the latest NBA Draft class,
